- This is certainly a long overdue advancement in CGI. I was watching tv
- the other day (mabe the same show being discussed) which had a puppetlike
- interface on, I think an SGI, for essentially a virtual puppet. Realtime
- you could get about 10-15fps. But you could render it out for 30fps later.

- Essentially that's what you need. A versatile set of analog
- controllers. You customize the armature as you like, and link them to
- various objects, and record movements. Apply them as keyframes with
- various conversion options (max keyframe limits and so forth).

- You could use this kind of device for all sorts of things, even realistic
- (imperfect) camera movements.

- Heck, you could even use the MOUSE for motion capture. It IS an analog
- device, after all. It could be all software. Actually, an optical mouse
- or trackball would be better suited for this.
